Leadership
President: Kendall McLelland
A lawyer by day, and a horseback rider in my free time (whenever I can make that rare, rare free time), 2023 marks the twelfth year I have ridden with South Oquirrh Hills, though I have been part of USWRCA for much longer as an observer.
I was voted in as President of South Oquirrh Hills in 2020, and aim to encourage involvement in the club as much as possible. I would like to run a South Oquirrh organized barrel race as a way to raise additional funds for the club at some point, and I have planned to set consistent dates for club trail rides in the upcoming year(s). My personal goals for riding club are to improve the connection I have to my gelding (in the picture) and tighten up our skills, working on speed events and show events to improve our all-around abilities.
Outside of South Oquirrh, I work as a staff attorney for Utah Legal Services, defending low-income Utahns from unlawful evictions. (No, I'm sorry, I can't answer your legal questions; if you need legal help, you can try LicensedLawyer.org.)
